I'd like to recommend an award winning children's book [early reader, 5-8 years old] entitled "A Lesson My Cat Taught Me" by Saul Weber. The lesson which the book tries to convey to this age group…Continue

It's a rare writer who doesn't have a stack of books (virtual or real) waiting to be read. Share what's on your reading list here. Continue

In lieu of Shauntelle's presence I thought I would step forward and get us started on the June's book. She had wanted to keep a running list of books being nominated for reading, and so I chose from…Continue

Comment by David Wiley on May 3, 2012 at 11:40am Awesome. I look forward to collaborating with you on this. And I'm totally excited about rereading the first book club book.
Comment by Shauntelle Hamlett on May 3, 2012 at 11:33am Thanks David! I think I can add you as a group owner-- you should see an email shortly if it works. :)
Comment by David Wiley on May 3, 2012 at 11:26am You know, I think I could help out with that. It'd give me a reason to stop by here a lot more often and, in turn, would probably increase my output. Add in the fact that I'm always reading a book...this is probably a perfect fit for me. Message me if you want to go over details, etc.
Comment by Shauntelle Hamlett on May 3, 2012 at 11:10am Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone is interested in co-moderating the book club with me? I've been crazy busy lately and haven't had a lot of time to hang out online... it would be nice if there was someone else to help keep things going when I hit crunch times like this. Just message me or reply here if you're interested.
Comment by Eric Storch on April 6, 2012 at 6:34pm Thomas - I'm drooling. Seriously. That sword looks almost the way I pictured it while reading the books!
Comment by Thomas on April 6, 2012 at 5:48pm Thats the sword I get to use. They are just finishing up the armour and Mats dagger. Rands sword and Perrins axe are both being made out of damascus by some metal-smith SCA dude in Kentucky.

Comment by Thomas on April 6, 2012 at 5:41pm Very serious, the project currently underway is being funded by a group out of new zealand, primarily props and costume test. I dont know if it is being pitched as a full feature series, or something similar to game of thrones. I will keep ya posted.
Comment by Eric Storch on April 6, 2012 at 6:49am Thomas - are you flippin' serious about the WoT feature? Is it going to be a movie per book? I hope not - I really think it needs a television season per book just like what they're doing with Game of Thrones.
I could see myself cast as Asmodean. :-)
Comment by Thomas on April 6, 2012 at 12:29am For writers, I would love to suggest "The Glass books of the dream eaters" by Gordan Dahlquist. I loved them. The prose is exceedingly fine and the story captivating. Also, I really want to talk to someone else that has read them....
