Each of us comes here for a different reason. Some might stop by briefly to discover the weekly writing prompts. Others might enjoy perusing the Community Blog. It could be to connect with writers in this more intimate environment. Whatever the reason, we all come here because we are writers.

Beyond the obvious writing community concept, Studio30 Plus is also a great place to network.

That's what I did last year when working on a design concept for Naked Girl Media. I knew of her talents early last year when we ran a design contest for the new logo and masthead design for Studio30 Plus. Ryan submitted several concepts for the contest. I loved all of her submissions for different reasons, but finally arrived at the design we have today.

While I love all the writing endeavors of Ryan Salinetti, I also continue to be impressed with her creative graphic design. Ryan happens to be patient, too. A good quality when working with a busy, working mom who keeps her own projects on the back burner (read: stops and starts regularly).

We have talent and opportunities beyond finding an inspirational writing prompt within our community. I challenge you in 2013 to get better connected as a community, learn about each other, and find ways to help one another as well. It could be promoting each other's writing more, giving someone the opportunity to write on your site, or hiring someone for their services.

We have a vibrant, ever-growing community. I can't wait to witness what happens for all of us in 2013 as a result of our connections as a community.
