Weekly Spotlight: Favorites (March 13, 2013)

What are your favorites?

Share a post that is about a favorite song, season, time of day, activity, food, or whatever you want. As long as it has to do with a favorite, it meets the criteria for the Weekly Spotlight this week.

Dust off an old post, and drop the link in the comment section below. Don't forget to visit other writers to see what they are sharing this week.

Have a great week!

Music has always been near and dear to my heart. A few months back I wrote a post about creating a soundtrack that would summarize my life. It was slightly morbid, but in the end is a work in progress about all the songs that have special meaning to me - my favorites.

Enjoy.

Better late than never.  I love my friends and last year began trying to pay them weekly homage by writing my favorite things about them while I have the earthly chance to do so.  The very first post was for my friend, Lanea, who's given me unending moral support for anything creative I ever attempt.

Thanks, my friend!

Thankfully, I rarely force my love affair with REM on the public at large.  Michael is more of a secret lover than anything.  I did so many naughty things to him in my daydreams when I was far too young to know about naughty things....

I thoroughly enjoyed writing this Trifextra prompt on Favorites -- still makes me smile:

Here comes one of Joe's favorite musicians!

I originally wrote this many years ago, then adapted it for posting on my blog in 2010.  By "adapted," I mean "changed wife #1's name."  I intertwined the lyrics to Peter Murphy's "Cascade" with images from an actual dream I had, one beachy afternoon.

Hi Kelly, this post "finding humor in a hopeless place' is about the role of humor in dealing with life problems (and divorce). I get to list my favorite funny movies and t.v. show. http://www.lisathomsonlive.com/finding-humor-in-a-hopeless-place/#m...

This is one of my favorite pieces for a couple of reasons: my readers liked it a lot; it's something that took me twenty years to write so it's very close to my heart; and, best of all, we're moving in a few short weeks to a new home. This one has a front porch. A welcoming front porch with a swing.

Actually... I have a post that is all about all of my favorite things in my life... I loved reading it again just now because it reminds me of all that is good around me.
