The two months of holiday madness is behind us. For most of us, we are increasing our efforts on writing again, setting goals for the new year, and probably all trying to lose the few pounds we gained from the non-stop holiday cheer.
While we turned away from our typical daily routines to enjoy the magical time between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve, so too did our readers; we were all busy, which probably meant lower traffic to our sites. To make up for it, this week's link up gives us the opportunity to share our favorite post written in November or December.
Here's how our Weekly Spotlight will work going forward:
There will no longer be a call for links to be emailed or deadlines missed. Instead, simply follow the guidelines (this week the post you share must have been published in November or December) given, and post the link in the comment section below!
Our goal is to give all our members the opportunity to share their writing each Wednesday. Help us reach that goal by at least visiting the two links above you, and consider sharing a link to the post on social media.
Thanks, and enjoy the spotlight!
Kelly

Here is one of the posts I had in December. It is a little poem inspired by the season's scenery, among other things. :-) http://mywordwall.wordpress.com/2012/12/30/waiting/
Thanks for the party.
Comment by Marie Nicole on January 9, 2013 at 11:24am @ Charlotte: why does Wordpress do that with YOUR comments? It was in the spam, but I published it, thanks for letting me know.
@ Homemaker Man: I left you a lengthy comment and I think Blogger threw the law of karma in my face, my comment disappeared! Gone! Like the magic belief we can create... Blerch. I may re-write it. It was a long one. Muwah!

How my mom's quirky-ness saved me.
Happy new year to you and everyone in Studio30+.
Comment by Joe Scott on January 9, 2013 at 9:59am I was tempted to put my 2012 retrospective here, but hey - we're all bloggers and know how to navigate to older posts on each other's blogs. Hopefully, you'll want to do that after reading this short Christmas Eve tale of possible redemption.

PS - Beware of my most recent post, for it comes from a different place entirely. :)
Anyway - Happy New Year, fellow bloggy people!
Marie, did my comment go through on your site? I tried to enter but it said it was a duplicate (even though it never showed up the first time). Wah. Here it is anyway:
"Thank you for this. I think we've all had our moments in life (I know I definitely have). But you know, given the circumstances, I'm proud of you for not having a panic attack in the bathroom. Small confined spaces totally freak me out!
Grateful for the chuckle this morning. XOXO"
