WeeklySpotlight: Recognize Others (2/20/13)
Each of us writes for a variety of reasons. Regardless of our differences, each of us feels good when we are recognized by another. Whether it is winning a blog award, someone writing a review of our site, or simply linking to a particular post, it's rewarding for our writing effort.
Today's theme for the Weekly Spotlight is related to this: share a post where you highlighted the writing of another. It could be a writer being a guest on your site, a review you wrote, or a mention of a blogger you admire. This is a great way for us to expand our reading list, and be inspired.
Share a link to your post below, read a few other posts listed, and share a link to this post to share the love on a greater level.

Okay. I really need to do better at this whole sharing thing. I have no excuse, really. Just a little... slow, socially-speaking, I guess. In the meantime, this is a piece I did for a Valentine's Day fiction contest a few years ago, adapted (and heavily-fictionalized) from an actual I.M. exchange with my [Maris]. The most witty parts are probably all hers.

I haven't "spotlighted" in quite a while, been busy with stuff and junk, but saw Marie's elbow nudge on facebook and thought perhaps my recent shenanigans might count? Although, because of privacy, I cannot mention the other blogger's name or her blog, but here is my (and her) story of how it came to pass that a friend I met through blogging is currently sharing my home with me ;-)
